Evan Bayh’s Senate Opponents to Visit Wabash
Note: The Wabash Conservative Union does not endorse or support any political candidate or party, but these visits are definitely of interest to Wabash conservatives.
Beginning tonight, (Tuesday, October 6th), the Will H. Hays College Republicans will be hosting four candidates looking to win the Republican nomination in May 2010 to take on Senator Evan Bayh next November.
These candidates, the dates they will be speaking, and a short bio are listed below:
Dan Dumezich – ***Tuesday, October 6th***. 8:00PM, Baxter 101.
Mr. Dumezich is a Lake County attorney who is still considering running for the nomination. Right now he is traveling the state trying to get a feel for what Hoosiers (especially young Hoosiers) are concerned about.
Don Bates Jr. – Tuesday, October 13th. 8:00PM, Baxter 101.
Mr. Bates is a Richmond-area banker who announced his candidacy and has made waves by hiring one of Mike Pence’s political directors to help run his campaign. His website is www.donbatesjr.com
Marlin Stutzman – Monday, October 19th. 7:00PM, Baxter 101.
Mr. Stutzman is a former state Senator and farmer from Howe. He is probably the most traveled candidate because in Mitch Daniels-like form, he has already traveled thousands of miles meeting voters on his campaign bus. His website is www.gomarlin.com
Richard Behney – Wednesday, October 28th, 7:00PM, Baxter 114.
Mr. Behney is an Indianapolis-area plumbing company owner who has been instrumental in planning and organizing most of the “tea parties” in Indiana. His website is www.richardbehney.com
All of these candidates have expressed an interest in speaking with anyone (not just Republicans) because they are concerned about the future of our country. If you are concerned too, or just want to hear what they have to say, we hope you’ll join us for some great discussions. Please check out their websites and then come with questions about why they would like to represent Indiana in the United States Senate.
In Wabash,
Andrew Forrester ‘11
Chairman, Will Hays College Republicans
